Executive Director

We are looking for an ambitious and mission driven executive director to take MNG Summit to the next level. If that’s you, please review the job description below and fill out the application below. This is a full-time paid position and based in Mongolia.

  • Works with the board in order to fulfill the organization’s mission. Responsible for leading MNG Summit in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.

    Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

  • Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization. Responsible for fundraising and developing other revenues necessary to support MNG Summit’s mission.

    Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.

  • Works with the board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.

    Responsible for implementation of MNG Summit’s programs that carry out the organization’s mission.

    Responsible for strategic planning to ensure that MNG Summit can successfully fulfill its Mission into the future.

    Responsible for the enhancement of MNG Summit’s image by being active and visible in the community and by developing close partnerships with other professional, civic and private organizations.

    Responsible for developing the succession plan, refining and revising the operating handbook, and developing standard operating procedures for organizing various events for long term sustainability.

  • Oversees and implements resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are appropriate.

    Responsible for recruiting and retaining active group of volunteers

    Responsible for effective administration of MNG Summit operations

  • Reports to and works closely with the Board of Directors to seek their involvement in strategic and operational decisions, fundraising, and to increase the overall visibility of the organization.

    Supervises, collaborates with organization staff and volunteers.

    Strategic planning and implementation.

    Projects and manages annual operational budget.

    Serves as MNG Summit’s primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media, and the general public.

    Establishes and maintains relationships with partner organizations and utilizes those relationships to strategically enhance MNG Summit’s Mission.

    Leads fundraising efforts with the support of the Board and develops other revenues.

    Oversees marketing and other communications efforts.

    Conducts Board and committee meetings.

    Establishes employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the nonprofit.

    Reviews and approves contracts for services.

    Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

  • A bachelor’s degree.

    Transparent and high integrity leadership.

    Strong written and oral communication skills both in English and Mongolian.

    Two or more years senior nonprofit management experience.

    Active fundraising experience. Excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community.

    Experience and skill in working with a Board of Directors.

    High level strategic thinking and planning.

    Ability to envision and convey the organization’s strategic future to the staff, board, volunteers and donors.

    Ability to effectively communicate the organization’s mission to donors, volunteers and the overall community.

    Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.

    A history of successfully generating new revenue streams and improving financial results.

    Previous success in establishing relationships with individuals and organizations of influence including funders, partner agencies and volunteers.

    Solid organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.

    Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting.

    Strong public speaking ability.

    Strong work ethic with a high degree of energy.

Internship Positions

Why an internship? Our board members are highly skilled professionals who have immersive experiences in both professional and personal development areas. We welcome you to join as an intern in one of the following areas to develop the skills and knowledge that will adhere to your future career goals. Please note this is an unpaid internship.

Duration: 3 to 6 months

 

Advertising

Advertising intern will manage both organic and paid channels including email and Google search ads. Ideal candidate would be a marketing student looking to gain hands on skills using top tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and so on.

Social Media

Social media intern will be responsible for social content publishing, analytics, and strategy development across all social platforms. Ideal candidate will have excellent writing and content development skills for both global and Mongolian audiences.

Grantmaking

Assist in grant seeking and developing strategies to apply and maintain fundraising relationships with partners. The ideal candidate would have excellent interpersonal, writing, project management skills, task-oriented and committed to deliver results.

Program Development

Develop virtual speaker series events by recruiting guest speakers, managing event logistics, and keeping all stakeholders updated. Ideal candidate would have ability to multitask, excellent time management skills, and sharp attention to details. This role will lead and support our ongoing Virtual Speaker Series.

Design

As a design intern, you will create unique digital contents and develop social media campaigns that are on brand with visual identity and modern look and feel. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining website updates, creating a promotional banners, and developing mobile application content development.

Video Editing

As a video editor, you should be familiar with or have experience using Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. You will edit webinar content, cut highlights for social platforms, and develop promotional videos. You will also be adding subtitles and lower thirds to videos to ensure accessibility of video content.
