  • Argynbyek (Bek) Shyegyebai | Software Engineer at Facebook

    Argynbyek (Bek) Shyegyebai is a software engineer at Facebook. Bek has extensive experience in full range of web development from back to front end. Prior to joining Facebook he has worked for Rio Tinto, Samsung Electronics and MobiCom Corporation. Bek holds B.S in Computer Science from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (formerly SPbSTU or SPbPU) and Master’s degree in CS from Maharishi International University (formerly MUM). Bek is a passionate runner. He also enjoys learning languages, playing chess and international checkers in his free time.


  • Khaliun Enkhtaivan | IT Support Engineer at Amazon

    Khaliun has a degree in Network Engineering Technology and Bachelors in Applied Information Systems Technology. Her career in Information Technology started in Tokyo, Japan as Datacenter Technician at IBM, where she administered numerous servers and datacenter equipment. After moving to Canada, Khaliun continued her career with company called F12. She started as a help desk technician and made her way up to system analyst and to advanced computing analyst. She currently lives in Seattle and work as an IT Support Engineer at Amazon. At Amazon, Khaliun implements, supports, and administers Linux and Windows servers, Cisco networking equipment, datacenter and amazon robotics equipment inside their biggest fulfillment center in Washington State. In her spare time, she likes watching thriller movies and shows, reading self-improvement books, studying towards her next certifications and taking care of her houseplants. 🌱


  • Angie Erdenebileg | Software Engineer at Uber

    Angie is a software engineer at Uber Australia where she worked on innovation products such as Uber pets, Uber parcel, and expanded services to include hourly drivers. She is passionate about user experience with focus on interface site design, development, testing, and optimization. Angie received her bachelors in Information technology from South Cross University in New South Wales. When she isn’t building Uber’s newest product, she is a mom to an energetic toddler.


  • Unubold Yura | Software Development Engineer at Audible

    Unubold recently joined Audible as a Software development engineer. His team owns the Audible experience on Amazon surfaces to drive strong Audible membership growth and engagement through contextual, best-in-class customer experiences. Prior to joining Audible, Unubold was working on Google cloud marketing platform as a Senior developer which accelerates GCP user base growth. Unubold holds BS in Computer Science from Computer Science and Management School of Mongolian University of Science and Technology and MS in Computer Science from Maharishi International University. In his free time, Unubold enjoys basketball and strength training. However, currently learning how to bake a cake.


  • Solongo Munkhjargal | Senior Software Engineer at Google

    Solongo is a senior software engineer and tech lead at Google, NYC. Since joining the company in 2016, Solongo's worked on speech recognition, Google Docs back-end, and Google Finance back-end. She holds B.Sc in CS from the University of Pune, India, and M.Sc in CS from the Washington State University, Vancouver, USA.


Summary:

We had a great turnout for "Mongolians are Software Engineers" virtual event! Our panelists discussed their career journey in top tech companies including Google, Facebook, Uber, and Amazon. We had 80+ attendees from all around the world - from Mongolia, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Canada to the United States. Thank you to our guest speakers for sharing their experiences with us!
